Group offers Java course

Twenty-eight information technology professionals will undergo a two-week training on Java programming from Nov. 20 to Dec. 1 in Cebu City.

The Philippine National IT Standards Foundation (PhilNITS) will conduct the training in collaboration with the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship of Japan and Across Gate Global Software.

PhilNITS president Maricor Akol said the training is meant to equip participants with the skills in Java software development and increase the pool of IT professionals in Java programming.

Demand

The demand for software development using the Java language has been growing, particularly from overseas and local Japanese companies.

The training program will use educational content that is offered in Japan by 10art-ni Corp., which has an excellent development track record of being Japan’s system integrator.

Highly-experienced lecturers of AcrossGate Global Software Inc. would be providing participants with the development curriculum for Japan-oriented Java application developers.

Akol said the training program would also help participants increase their chances of passing the PhilNITS certification exams held twice a year. (PR)
