Another lawman gets in trouble inside motel

WHAT it is about policemen and motels these days?

Elements of the Mobile Patrol Group (MPG) rushed to a motel in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City after a woman sought police assistance to arrest her husband, who was spotted checking in with another woman before noontime yesterday.

Initial information received by the responding policemen said that the husband was a policeman, but not from Cebu City.

The call for assistance happened on the heels of a controversy involving one MPG policeman, PO2 Junicar Estiñoso, who used a Cebu City Hall-issued Toyota Innova van in going inside Queensland Hotel in Barangay Carreta.

The van figured in a vehicular accident while it was leaving the motel.

MPG Chief Arnel Banzon, one of the responding police operatives, told Sun.Star Cebu that the confrontation was immediately patched up after the husband managed to talk to the wife.

The wife agreed to talk things over and decided not to lodge a complaint against her husband.

The MPG policemen no longer jotted down the names of the couple and the other woman. (JST)
