Plantation Bay introduces new Executive Housekeeper

PLANTATION Bay Resort and Spa is introducing its newest family member, executive housekeeper Charlie Recto.

A native of San Fernando, Romblon, Recto has had extensive experience as an executive housekeeper. A Political Science graduate of the Lyceum of the Philippines, he started out as a working student at the Hyatt Regency Manila and rose from the ranks during his stay there.

When the 1st Hyatt International Hotel was opened in the Middle East, Recto was transferred there as one of the supervisory staff. He then joined the pre-opening of the Hyatt Yanbo Hotel in Saudi Arabia in 1979 as executive housekeeper after which he was transferred to the Hyatt Regency Jeddah to handle a bigger operation of 305 guest rooms for another two years. In 1988, Recto joined the Saudi Hotels Resort and Co., an affiliate of the JW Marriott Hotels in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

From 1992 – 1995, he joined the Le Golf Meridien Hotel in Alcobar, Saudi Arabia as executive housekeeper including laundry operations. In 1995, he joined the InterContinental Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as executive housekeeper in charge of the Housekeeping, Laundry and Recreation Department where he stayed till December, 2005.

With his appointment as executive housekeeper of Plantation Bay, guests can expect that he will continue the kind of world-class service that Plantation Bay is known for.
