Today a holiday

THE end of the fasting month of Ramadan or Eid’l Fitr is being celebrated today.

Employees who will report for work today will get 200 percent of his regular wage, as the event is a regular holiday. In case he works eight hours, he should receive the hourly rate for that day, which is 200 percent of his regular wage divided by eight plus 30 percent of that hourly rate.

Eid’l Fitr has been declared a regular holiday to promote cultural understanding and integration.

Malacañang wants all Filipinos to join the celebration.
