Fountainhead Bakeshop opens in MC City Square
SINCE it first opened 28 years ago, Fountainhead Bakeshop has been through several ups and downs through the years.
The bakeshop started as an idea of Regino and Linda Francisco. They set up a little bakeshop inside the Tagalog Hotel located in Sanciangko St., called it “Linda’s Bakeshop.”
They soon opened their second branch in Manalili, changing the name to “Linda’s Fountainhead.” Fountainhead, means the source of every good thing.
After that, Fountainhead Bakeshop opened more branches and soon had 14 branches all over Cebu City. But after Regino Francisco passed away, most of these branches were closed.
Now, Fountainhead Bakeshop is slowly regaining their place among the other bakeshops in Cebu. Last Oct. 28, it proudly welcomed its third branch, located at the MC City Square and celebrated their 28th anniversary, simultaneously.
Fountainhead Bakeshop is well-known for their delicious chocolate cupcakes, patatas, marble cups, muffins, biscuits, and their front carrier, Tasty Bread. They also have branches in Ayala Center Cebu and another one in Lapu-Lapu City.
They are also planning to open a Healthy Line, which will feature healthy and nutritious breads and cakes for the health-conscious. (Cleofe Marie Faelnar)
