Alta Vista teams dominate 2nd leg of Sta. Lucia golf

ENRICO Solon put up an impressive performance in the second day to tow the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club (AVGCC) Team 1 to the championship in the 2nd leg of the Sta. Lucia Golf Tour at the AVGCC grounds over the weekend.

Solon, who fired 45 points in the first day, had a team-high 56 in the second as AVGCC 1 scored 156 points for a two-day total of 296 in Group 1.

Dennis Canoy added 54 points in the final day, while Victor Gocela and Agapito Suan had 46 and 44, respectively.

Alta Vista Team 2 took the second spot after finishing three points behind with a total of 293.

Matias Aznar IV had 52 in the second day, while Horii Koichi and Kwang Kim had 48 and 46, respectively as the team tallied a second day total of 146.

It was the same story in Group 2 as two Alta Vista teams took the top two spots.

Edwin Espina led the charge for Team 3 with 53 points, while Alejandro Garcia and Alejandro Dayot III had 46 and 45, respectively. Mario Tumaliwan also had 38 for the champion.

Jufil Sato led the second placer Team 6 with 53 and Victor Yuvallos had 44.

Nolan Rada and Nestor Mendoza also chipped in 40 and 42 points, respectively.

In the individual contests, Alta Vista also ruled with three titles.

Canoy ruled Class A with 104 points, while Garcia topped Class B with 97 and Hansel Ong led Class C with 85. (ML)
