Monday, November 13, 2006 Mactan Memorial Park lights Resurrection statue
MACTAN Memorial Garden, the only memorial garden in Mactan, was blessed with a clear night sky last Oct. 27 during the simple lighting ceremony of the beautiful statue of the Resurrection of Christ.
Along with the blessing of the statue, six sanctuaries of meditation commemorating the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin were also blessed, namely: The Lady of All Nations, the Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the Lady of Guadalupe (patroness of Cebu), the Lady of the Rule (patroness of Lapu-Lapu City), the Lady of the Sacred Heart (patroness of Marigondon), and the Lady of Sorrows.
Aside from being a place for repose for the departed, meditation and prayer, the memorial garden also boasts of its secured and beautiful green fields complete with good lighting facilities, a playground for children, a lagoon, and ample space for parking.
“Mactan Memorial Garden is one of the most modern, elegant yet affordable memorial gardens around,”said Benhur Salimbangon, marketing director of the Mactan Memorial Garden.
