A RECORD field of dance athletes are expected to compete in the very first edition of the Cebu City Olympics 1st Inter-school Dancesport Challenge 2006 next weekend at the University of San Carlos Gym.
Organizers expect not less than 500 athletes to troop to the venue on Nov. 26. The tournament is still part of the Cebu City Olympics, although the city will shell out for cash prizes to the winners. Handing of cash prizes to winners is a first for a City Olympics event.
The Cebu City Olympics, a multi-event sporting meet, opens this weekend at the Cebu City Sports Center.
