Thursday, November 23, 2006 Teener shoots, hurts 2 bullies
HE wanted to get back at his neighbors for picking on him. So, a 16-year-old boy bought a gun and shot them last Tuesday.
The teenager, a first year high school student in Toledo City, shot a 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, who was in critical condition as of press time last night.
His older brother said he does not know where his brother bought the .38 paltik revolver and how much he paid it.
Their neighbors, Christopher Bayon, 14, and Larry Navales, 21, were attacked past 4 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Das, Toledo City.
The local police said the 16-year-old old approached Bayon and Navales and shot them.
Navales took a bullet in the back, while Bayon was hit in the arm.
Both were taken to the Toledo District Hospital.
Their suspected attacker, name withheld for being a minor, was arrested by police led by SPO1 Virgilio Cañete.
The boy’s elder brother told Sun.Star Superbalita that the victims are known toughies in their neighborhood.
He said his younger brother is beaten and picked on when goes home from school.
“He learned that his friend was also picked on and mauled, that’s why he went to the area,” the brother said.
The Toledo police will file charges against the teenager. (Dennes R. Tabar, Superbalita)
