Friday, December 15, 2006 Hotel Fortuna inauguration set today
Cebu La Fortuna Bakery Inc. will unveil today Hotel Fortuna, its first business venture in the hotel industry.
According to Michael Sy, vice president of Hotel Fortuna, they saw the need for this kind of accommodation in the downtown area for the middle to low-end market.
Situated in the original La Fortuna Bakery location at 20 Borromeo St., Cebu City, the new hotel aims to cater to businessmen who want to do business in the downtown area and for tourists who want to stay close to the Basilica del Sto. Niño.
“We want them to have the same experience and accommodation one get from big hotels but in affordable prices,” said Sy.
The seven-story hotel can accommodate around 350 persons and has 48 well-appointed rooms. Room prices ranges between P1,000 and P2,700.
Sy describes Hotel Fortuna as a Zen-inspired, simple and modern hotel.
The hotel also houses five function rooms, a restaurant, parking area, 24-hour security, and a La Fortuna fast food and bakery, at the lobby.
