Talk Back: Christmas, not ‘Xmas’ By John F. Goepper
(The letter is addressed to Bobby Nalzaro)
WHEN I read the SpeakOut item in the Dec. 20, 2006 issue of Sun.Star, I almost burst into tears.
I am referring to Dr. Henry L. Yu calling Christmas “Xmas.”

Would the doctor like someone to take out either his first or family name and replace it with an "X"?
I think Yu has not accepted Christ as his personal savior.
I was brought up as a Catholic.
At my first duty station in Pensacola, Fla., I completely turned my life over to Jesus Christ.
One other thing, since I was old enough to remember anything, the name for this holiday has always been Christmas.
Without the name of Christ, you might as well forget that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ever came into this world to save people from their sins.
I really don't care about his explanation about the Greeks or his excuse in calling Christ's birthday as “Xmas.”
I feel Yu needs to read any version of the Holy Bible, study what it says then commit his life over to Christ.
I'll bet that once he does that, he'll never again refer to the most precious name in the world, Christ, and His birthday, Christmas, as “Xmas.”
