Thursday, January 11, 2007 CBR Bulls snare K Gallery diadem
THE CBR Bulls squad ruled the recent K Gallery basketball tournament after scoring a lopsided 103-87 victory over the Browning & Sol team during their knockout finals held at the Visayan Glass Gym.
Michael "Muking" Viliran, the Finals MVP, proved his worth after dominating the offensive end during the final half with 26 markers as he catapulted the Bulls to a commanding lead, 90-76, in the third canto.
Aaron Pancho for his part sank a couple of three-pointers to lift the Bulls toward the crown, while teammates Chowking Mariano, Jesse Bence and Jordan Alano also did their share for the team.
The game was fought closely only in the first half with Browning & Sol leading most of the way as Wilson Gabucan led the latter’s searing offense.
But the second half was an all CBR Bulls show as they break the game wide open.
The other members of the CBR Bulls, which is owned by Christian Ben Rodriguez, are Gunther Seroy, Joey Loren, Mark Pabilona and Joseph Orosio. (JSV)
