THIS refers to your article about the Senate becoming a laughing stock because of the quality of people running in the polls and the quality of those that are being elected.
If the trend continues, I think it will not only be the Senate that will suffer but the whole spectrum of Philippine politics. It will become a bigger joke.
It has therefore become incumbent upon all of us who loves the country to prevent this from happening. You, with the media, can help educate the voters to choose only those who are worthy to govern.
The millions of us who had to leave the country to make a living can help by convincing our loved ones left behind to make the right choice.
If they want us to be able to return soon and become one family again, they have to elect only candidates who can make a better Philippines where parents and their children no longer have to leave to find a decent job.
