Sunday, January 21, 2007 Garcia, Villanueva top 26th Coral Tee
ALEX Garcia and Felix Villanueva came out blazing in the final 18 holes, while Josep Yukayguan and Arief Kushariadi gave their best in 36 holes to capture the titles yesterday in the 26th Coral Invitational Golf Tilt at the Cebu Country Club.
Garcia and Villanueva tallied 85 points for a combined 168 points to capture the overall championship over Ishmael Limkakeng and Danny Villanueva in the Regular division.
Limkakeng and Villanueva tallied 163 after closing with an 82 to settle for second.
Garcia and Villanueva will have their names engraved on the permanent Tournament Cup for winning this year’s Coral Tee.
The duo of Yukayguan and Kushariadi notched 79 points for a combined score of 157 point to crown themselves overall champion in the Seniors group.
Winners
Jun Larrazabal and Ed Enriquez snared the first runner-up position with 156 points, while Claro Cinco and Robert Pangan collected 153 points to get the second runner-up spot.
Other winners in the Regular division for getting the best scores in the first day are Arturo Go and Jimmy Cham with 84 points, Emmy Tesalona and Dante Felizarta with 83 points and Enrique Farrarons and Freddie Salimbangon with 82 points. (JGC)
