Thursday, January 25, 2007 Firm to launch updated jukebox
CAPITALIZING on the Filipinos love for music, Touch Music Video (TMV) Philippines will introduce to the local market next month one of its latest technologies called, “digital jukebox.”
“This was patterned after the old jukebox machines but now it’s modified with a touch screen which makes it user friendly,” said Cherry Fernandez, Moonstruck Marketing manager, who is also responsible for marketing the product in Cebu.
Fernandez told Sun.Star Cebu that the digital jukebox, which also comes with a built-in videoke, has a “unique” software designed to store over 10,000 copyrighted songs by popular artists.
She said TMV has tied up with Odyssey Music Philippines to upload the songs.
“Potential buyers will have to buy the whole personal computer package, which comes with an LCD monitor, if they intend to purchase the digital jukebox,” Fernandez said.
“Most of those who have this product are actors, actresses and some businessmen,” she said.
According to Fernandez, the digital jukebox is ideal for restaurants, cafes and for personal use.
“When they’re in a restaurant for example, they can just approach the screen and change the music according to their choice,” she said.
Fernandez also said the jukebox can also be income generating as it can accommodate advertisements.
Restaurant customers, for instance, can also pay for every song they wish to download. (MMM)
