Bautista faces ‘toughest foe’
COLOMBIAN WBC Latino champion Feider Viloria will be the toughest test ever for Boholano sensation Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista, the WBO No.1 ranked super flyweight contender.
Viloria and Bautista will vie for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental and WBO youth super bantamweight titles on Feb. 24 at the Cebu City Sports Complex. The match is just one of bouts of the SGG and Golden Boy Promotions boxing spectacle dubbed “Moment of Truth.
Champions
The match is described as a matchup of wit, skills, heart and power as both fighters possess qualities of a future world champion.
The 23-year-old Viloria, however, is the strongest puncher so far among all of Bautista’s previous opponents.
The fighter from Antioquia, is a quick starter as Viloria, who has a record of 18-1-1, including 12 knockouts, knocked out four of his opponents in the first round and eight in the second round. Among his first round victims includes Mexican Gilberto Bolanos, whom Bautista defeated in five rounds.
Viloria is currently ranked WBA No.12, WBC No.14 and WBO No.15 super-bantamweight contender.
Bautista, on the other hand, holds an undefeated 21-0 record, with 16 knockouts. (RCM)
