Colours Digital Foto turns 20

COLOURS Digital Foto gives away MP3 players, digital cameras and a 40-inch LCD screen television to mark its 20th anniversary this year.

Colours Digital Foto started as Colours Fotoshop and began its operations in 1987. According to Kelly Uy, owner, it was perhaps the first photo shop to venture in the uptown area, in Gen. Maxilom Ave.

“All the photo shops at that time were concentrated in the downtown area. We thought of going uptown since customers were starting to go to that area,” Uy said.

Colours Fotoshop was envisioned as a full-line photo shop. It offers all types of cameras and camera accessories. It also offered photo portrait shots and rush ID picture developing.

“We positioned it to project an image of a classy photo shop offering a variety of products at very reasonable prices,” said Uy.

As camera technology continues to surprise enthusiasts, Colours Fotoshop is committed to offer its customers with the latest models and other equipment.

“A lot of things have developed over the years in terms of camera technology. To be competitive, you’ve got to keep up with the trend,” Uy said. “We have the latest cameras and equipment and we can sell them to customers right away. They don’t have to wait for the orders to arrive.”

Currently, Colours Fotoshop is reinventing itself as Colours Digital Foto with a complete line of digital cameras and services.

Colours is currently holding the “Where Else but at Colours Digital Foto” promo. For six months, Colours will hold monthly draws to give away digital cameras and MP3 players, and a Sony Bravia 40-inch LCD screen television and a home entertainment system for the grand draw.

Customers can join the promo for a minimum purchase of P500 in any of the Colours Digital Foto outlets. The promo is sponsored by Canon, Kodak, Olympus, Pentax and Sony.

Colours maintains branches in Banilad Town Centre, SM City Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, Colon St. and Mactan. (JSC)
