Suzuki sponsors golf tournament

SUZUKI Auto Cebu was one of the major sponsors in the 26th edition of the Coral Invitational tournament hosted by the Cebu Country Club last Jan. 17-20.

This golf tournament, with over 440 golfers participants, is Cebu’s biggest golf tournament.

The major hole-in-one prize for all par-3 holes is a brand new Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0L 4x4 SUV.

The Grand Vitara is one of the most exciting true-blue off-road yet city formal SUVs in its class. It comes with a powerful yet very economical 2.0L engine producing 145 Bhp at 6000 rpm and 193 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

With its monocoque body reinforced with a built-in ladder frame, the Grand Vitara combines true off-road capabilities with big-sedan comfort. All Suzuki Grand Vitaras being sold in the Philippines are completely built units from Japan, thus ensuring first-class build quality and reliability.

For four days golfers were swinging their clubs hoping for lady luck to send their shots into the holes and take home the exciting Grand Vitara.

Unfortunately, none of the golfers were able to sink a hole-in-one this year.

Despite the inclement weather, all the participants had loads of fun and are looking forward to the 27th edition of the tournament next year.

Suzuki Auto Cebu congratulates the following tandems: Marko Sarmiento and Paul Miñoza for getting the overall lowest gross award with a total gross score of 139 points, Jonji Chiongbian and Mike Celdran for bagging overall second runner-up honors with a total score of 158 points, Ishmael Limkakeng and Danny Villanueva for getting the overall first runner-up honors with a total score of 163 points and Alex Garcia and Felix Villanueva for being this years overall champions with a total score of 168 points.
