Speak out: Two generals in PRO 7 By Segundino Villapando Banilad, Cebu City
THE Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 now has two police generals.
Ronald Dulay Roderos recently took his oath as chief superintendent and two platoon-sized troops gave him arrival honors at the PRO7 parade ground.
Pinoy Votes: Sun.Star Election 2007
The rank of police chief superintendent is equivalent to that of brigadier general in the military.
Roderos is currently the deputy regional director for administration.
With PRO 7 having two police generals, Roderos may now make an exit and look to major fields of assignment elsewhere.
For now, he is not allowed under police rules to sit as regional police director even in the absence of PRO 7 Chief Silverio Alarcio Jr.
Incidentally, Alarcio reportedly belongs to Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class ‘76 while Roderos graduated from PMA Class ’75.
Alarcio is set to be promoted to police director (two stars) principally owing to Cebu’s successful hosting of the Asean Summit.
To P/CSupt. Ronald Roderos: We salute you, Sir, and Godspeed!
