Thursday, March 08, 2007 Speak out: Cary Kintanar’s woes By Victor M. Gimena Ronda, Cebu
RECENT political development involving the 2nd District congressional race has shocked many political supporters of Board Member Cary Kintanar in the town of Ronda.
We express our sympathy for him and indignation over his being grabbed the title as Kampi chairman in the province.
The fresh entrants into the Kampi party coming from the Provincial Capitol have acquired the provincial and 2nd District chairmanships in a wink of an eye.
This group was formerly with Lakas-CMD, then bolted from it for reasons of neglect and established its own local party called One Cebu.
We believe the One Cebu party is weak in resources and machinery. That’s why it needs to affiliate to a national party to scavenge for campaign resources.
The political treachery that unfairly befell on Kintanar will not discourage us in Ronda and the 2nd District to rally behind him.
