THE Cebu State College of Science and Technology System (CSCST) has officially opened its search for the next State Universities and Colleges (SUC) president.
The term of Dr. Ester B. Velasquez, acting SUC president and concurrent president of Cebu Normal University, will end in October.
To qualify, an applicant must not be more than 62 years old on the date of the application, a Filipino citizen, a holder of an earned doctoral degree with a proven track record as top administrator in the academic field such as vice-president, dean or campus director, whether in private or public, for a period of at least five years.
The applicant must also possess leadership in school administration and managerial skills within the purview of the needs, thrusts, goals and objectives of the state college/university, must be of good moral character.
A final conviction of any crime involving moral turpitude will be a ground for disqualification.
Documents
Applications must be supported by documents (certification or special order from the chair of board of trustees/regents if president of the school, head of a company) stating the managerial, professorial and/or administrative experience and the period covered.
Interested applicants should address their formal application letter to the honorable chair, through the secretariat of the search committee.
Seven copies of all documentary requirements must be submitted by April 4 to Mira Nona M. Flores, secretariat, search committee, CSCST System, R. Palma St., Cebu City, 6000.
