Speak out: 5th district polls
By Dean Dosado

ALLOW me to correct the wrong impression that nobody dared to challenge the Durano dynasty in the fifth district, hence, nothing is interesting there for the May elections.

Please be reminded that I ran in the last special elections against the son of Ramonito Durano III.

Pinoy Votes: Sun.Star Election 2007

It is not fair to conclude that out of 250,000 voters in our district, only the children of Ramonito has the exclusive franchise of political leadership.

Rest assured that we, the opposition (anti-Durano) are doing our political homework.

We will be fielding a complete slate from congressman down to municipal councilors.

Cebu City expenses

(Writer’s name withheld upon request)

Since Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña has submitted a liquidation of Asian summit expenses, may we ask him and the chairman of the Parks and Playgrounds Commission why they spent millions of pesos on the kanding-kanding, otot-otot and San Francisco flowers that they used and are still using to beautify the center islands?

These plants do not cost millions.

Calling Acting Deputy Ombudsman Virginia Palanca-Santiago.

Please include this in your investigation into the Asean summit anomalies because this transaction smells like horse manure.
