Firm offers new tech for corporate offices

A COMBINATION of corporate office and entertainment facility will redefine Cebu’s business climate, said an official from Metreon Infotainment Solutions Corp.

“MVO (Metreon Virtual Office) is an outsourced office space whereas the Metreon Media Lounge, also known as XMedia lounge, is ideal for personal entertainment and leisure. It is both a business and entertainment facility,” Enrico Antonio Laurente, Metreon marketing specialist said.

The MVO and XMedia sites, which will open in the next quarter of this year, will be located within the Asian College of Technology (ACT) buil-ding across Elizabeth Mall, he told reporters during the official launching of MVO at the City Sports Club Cebu last Thursday.

It will be a 40-seater facility equipped with high-speed wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) access, video conferencing, coffee and pastry shop, cable TV, video, music, games, DVD, and photo printing, among others.

Requirements

The MVO includes 22 full-service office desks while XMedia lounge features 14 PCs with large format LCD screens.

“Businesses should be operational. We require certain documentations because we don’t want the office to be a platform for fraud,” he said referring to potential clients.

The facility is available for rent at P5,000 to P7,500 each month, inclusive of 300 hours use of MVO office desk, an office address complete with a personal telephone number, IP telephony, the use of a conference room, a personal receptionist, activity reporting tool, to name a few.

Office space can be rented for a minimum of six months.

Laurente said because MVO is a service application suite designed to meet the back office support requirement of start-up businesses, branch or extension offices, mobile telecommuters, and even large corporations, it is expected to be an “attraction” among local businessmen.

“This allows SMEs (small and medium enterprises) to compete with the ‘big boys.’ It levels the playing field,” he said.

“It will be the first of its kind in Cebu,” he also said, adding that MVO is a Cebuano-initiative.

Meanwhile, Laurente said establishing an MVO can also be income generating since it will be open to potential franchisees.

An MVO and XMedia franchise is pegged at P5 million each, where the franchise fee cost P500,000.

He said the projected return of investment is between 16 to 22 months depending upon the location.

As an added revenue stream, the office can be upgraded to a contact center during low peak hours with minimal additional investment, Laurente said.

Metreon is also expanding operations in Davao, which will be company-owned. (MMM)
