CEBU City Sports Commission officials reacted to a report saying that the CCSC will no longer be sending participants to the Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia this May.
CCSC top honchos and councilors Sylvan “Jack” Jakosalen and Raul “Yayoy” Alcoseba contradicted a report that insinuated that the city is only keeping it mum as of the moment.
“Where could they have gotten that information? They should have checked with us,” said CCSC vice chairperson Raul “Yayoy” Alcoseba.
In the CCSC’s weekly meeting yesterday, the group affirmed their intent of sending a team to the games.
“As far as we are concerned no scrapping has been made and we are still bent on sending a team to the games and that no information has been kept away from the media,” Jakosalem added.
Both, however, had admitted that they are still to submit the names of their lineup to the Philippine Sports Commission, as they have not finalized it yet. (MCB)
