Saturday, March 31, 2007 Shangri-la’s Mactan Resort and Spa launches Easter with a heart
SHANGRI-LA’S Mactan Resort and Spa is celebrating this Easter by offering resort guests an exciting range of Easter treats.
Resort guests can choose from themed restaurants that offer the choicest meals deluxe and all inclusive settings throughout Easter: a time for celebrating family ties and bonding with activities such as egg-hunting and Sunday luncheons.
Lobby Lounge guests are invited to dig into a “halo-halo” for only Php250++, and can choose their ingredients for a truly creative mix and a guaranteed summer cooler.
The Beach Bar with its sweeping backdrop of the sea provides a great place to chill out, and from 5 to 8 April, guests can sway along to their favorite songs played unplugged by the bar’s popular beach band.
Nothing beats the Cowrie Cove seafood buffet, and on Thursday for only Php1,450++, guests can indulge in the freshest seafood and prime meats, while the Lent set dinner is priced at Php2,000++. From there the Chillout Bar is the place to head to enjoy a refreshing cocktail while chilling to the latest music from the bar’s resident DJ.
Following Mass celebrations at the Mactan ballroom foyer at 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday, more than 20 courses will be available at the buffet at Tides for only Php1,500++. For guests preferring not to dine buffet-style, Acqua has an Easter set menu of dishes made from premium ingredients that are expertly prepared to become entrées of the highest standard.
While sating appetites with stunning cuisine, guests are reminded to have a heart and remember the less fortunate by hanging an egg on the Easter charity tree at the main lobby. With a minimum donation of Php200 for a multi-colored egg, or Php500 for a golden egg, guests can make a wish and hang an egg on the charity tree. Easter eggs were hand-painted by children of resort management and staff. All proceeds shall go to Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa’s community partner, Batang Opon, which provides basic elementary education to street children of Lapu-Lapu City.
