Donayre, 24, a collector and program assistant of Taytay sa Kauswagan Inc., a non-government organization that extends micro-financing to the poor, reported to the police that she was robbed at 7:45 p.m. Monday along the highway of Barangay Looc, Danao City.
Donayre said she came from Looc proper, where she collected from clients, and was heading back to the office on board a trisikad when she spotted the woman walking nearby, a child in her arms.
Feeling sorry for the woman, she offered her a free ride. Donayre had rented the trisikad for her entire trip.

Moments later, the woman, who was seated beside Donayre, allegedly poked a hunting knife at her side and whispered to her to hand over her cash and valuables.
Panic poured over Donayre, prompting her to give in to the woman’s request.
The driver of the trisikad was not aware of the ongoing robbery.
Donayre gave the P12,320 cash she had collected, her P1,100 personal cash and her Nokia 6610i.
Donayre was the first to get down from the trisikad, while the woman stayed behind, telling the driver to get her to her place.
Out of fear, Donayre failed to describe the woman or notice how old the child was, said SPO4 Teofile Dequilmo, whom Donayre approached at the police station to report the incident.
Dequilmo said the miscellaneous team of the Danao City Police Station is now looking for the driver to help them find the woman.
Meanwhile, the Cebu City Police Office has reminded all the 11 police stations and special units to be aware of a new modus operandi by motorcycle-riding robbers.
Members of the Joint Anti-Bank Robbery Action Committee, in a meeting last March 28, discussed the new tactics of robbers who no longer bring with them their firearms, but put them in a car to avoid getting caught during checkpoint operations.
The robbers in some instances also allegedly used the car to block the target as the motorcycle-riding men immediately declared a holdup. (JST)
