HOLY Week arrives with a lot of goodies from your Kapamilya (ABS-CBN) and Kabarkada (Studio 23) networks. Season favorites fill up the schedule from Maundy Thursday to Black Saturday and we’ve even got blockbuster movies for this season of reflection.
Two marathons of Studio 23’s most family-friendly series are first on the list.
The much-loved Lorelai and Rory of Gilmore Girls kick-off Maundy Thursday with 10 consecutive episodes from its current season starting 11 a.m. Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh add to the fun at 6:30 p.m as they provide character voices in the animated treat The Road to El Dorado. And we cap the night with Tom Hanks’ award-winning turn in the feel-good movie Forrest Gump at 8 p.m.
Holy Week won’t be complete without the Camdens of 7th Heaven, back on board for a nine-episode marathon on Good Friday starting at 11 a.m. Oscar-winner The Ten Commandments takes center stage as the Cecille B. DeMille classic brings to life the life of the prophet Moses (Charlton Heston) at 6:30 p.m. Studio 23 premieres the new movie Judas and Jesus, which does a new take on the relationship between Christ and the disciple who betrayed him starring Johnathon Schaech, Jonathan Scarfe and Tim Mathison star at 10 p.m.
Black Saturday lightens up a bit as the Camdens barkada continue their adventures on a 12-episode marathon starting at 10 a.m. The Mel Gibson-voiced claymation blockbuster Chicken Run kicks off primetime at 7:30 p.m.
Studio 23 caps the night with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt in their award-winning turns for the movie As Good as it Gets on Barkada Nights at 9:15 p.m.
Studio 23 returns to regular programming beginning Easter Sunday, April 8.

Kapamilya specials for Good Friday begin with the animated film Tales of Egypt at 9:30 a.m., followed by the conclusive part of the fantasy Agua Bendita 2 with Shaina Magdayao and Rayver Cruz at 11 a.m. This will be followed by back to back reflection fares with Seven Last Words at 12:30, and Panata by Jescom at 3:30 p.m. Be enamored with two consecutive romances on Forevormore with stars Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales at 4:30 p.m., and Kung Ako Na Lang Sana starring Aga Muhlach and Sharon Cuneta at 6:30. This will be followed by the miraculous Maalaala Mo Kaya episode of Sto. Niño de Cebu with Jodie Sta.
