Salas lifts Violet over Maroon 5

VICOR Record Violet pulled off a 101-99 thriller over VHL Maroon in ther match last Sunday in the Barangay T. Padilla Basketball Association Manager’s Cup at the T. Padilla Sports Complex.

Brigs Salas carried Vicor as he sank his charities in the final 12 seconds to break the 99-all deadlock and to eventually take the victory.

Neil Gonzaga topscored for Vicor with 25 markers, three rebounds and three assists, to pace the team to its first win. Rey Paca added 20, while Salas finished with 18 markers.

Meanwhile, in the first two games, Mugan Blue and JFBAM Yellow opened their bids on a rousing note as they won in very convincing fashions against separate foes.

Mugan Blue completed a one-sided win over VRJ Engineering White, 91-81 and JFBAM Yellow pulled out an emphatic 90-75 victory over Wilkins Tiger.
