Motosuit’s 6th leg draws 70
JUVANNIE Abellar is expected to go all out today to protect the crown he won the last timeout in the Expert/Open division when the 6th leg of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series 2007 blasts off in Barangay Calambua, San Remegio, Cebu.
Abellar, though, is expected to encounter rough sailing in today’s race as the series’ big guns—led by overall defending champion Irwin Ramas Uypitching of the Rusi Team from Dumaguete City—are back in action.

Around 70 riders from Visayas and Mindanao are expected to see action in the nine divisions of the series, which is also dubbed as the 9th Ornopia Cup.
Also seeing action today are Ozamis City’s Ted Conde of the Quickflight Racing team, who will be competing in the Expert division alongside Cebuano teammates Pepo and Andot Rubi.
The other categories are the Intermediate, Novice Prod., Executive A, B and C, Beginner’s Prod., Novice and Local Enduro. JSV
Event organizer Lou Ornopia told Sun.Star Cebu over the phone yesterday that today’s race will be highlighted by the giving of one brand new motorcycle to the Ilihan Parish Church in Barangay Ilihan, Tabogon, where the 5th leg was held.
