Monday, April 16, 2007 Parklane’s Basil offers great view, good food
IT’S all about great view and good food at Basil by the Pool at The Paklane Cebu.
Lounging at the al-fresco bar and restaurant beside a pool is best during the evening, said Allan Ting, Parklane’s vice president for sales and marketing. Basil serves guests from 6 p.m. until 12 midnight.
Basil, located at the fourth floor of The Parklane, boasts for its metropolitan yet refreshing view overlooking the Cebu Business Park.
Basil’s “reasonably” priced grilled meat and seafood among others jives well with the restaurant’s outdoor ambience.
Caribbean and Latin music are played by a live band every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, Parklane is bullish in upgrading its facilities and services.
According to Ting, the 230-room business hotel has invested P35 million on computer software and communication technology.
All of the hotel’s rooms are wired to the Internet and equipped with a Voice over Internet Protocol, which, according to Ting, is the first among local hotels.
According to Ting, the hotel is focused to allow its guest to experience the “Cebuano service and hospitality,” which, he said, is the promise of the Parklane brand. (JSC)
