He banished trisikads plying the Cebu port by simply buying them.
What a great way for operators to get rid of old and rusty trisikads?

At the Cebu port today, you won’t see passengers milling around or walking towards berthed ships.
Passengers have to pass the terminal for X-ray and security checks on their hand-carried baggage.
Shuttle buses pick them up at the terminal and drop them off right near the ships they are boarding.

But the calm and order at the Cebu port is but a false façade.
I found this out Friday night when I joined the volunteers and members of the Rotary Club of Metro Cebu’s medical mission to Tudela town in Camotes.
After the snail-paced security check and once inside the Pier 3 terminal, I saw people elbowing each other in a mad scramble to get a ride in the shuttle bus whose passengers are often packed like sardines.

Talisay City mayoral aspirant Gabby Leyson insists he is a Talisay resident.
Those who still want him disqualified should rather ask Gabby’s neighbors.
Maybe his neighbors, among them his barangay captain, knew him.
Better still, why not ask Gabby?
Maybe he knows his neighbors.

Many Talisaynons believe Gabby Leyson is a mere pawn of Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña, an image Gabby has to shake off to get their support.
Talisaynons can’t forget what Tommy did to vendors in Pasil who are Talisaynons or the closure of the Cebu South Coastal Road.
Doubting Talisaynons should train the klieg lights on Gabby and see if he casts Tommy’s shadow.
