Thursday, April 19, 2007 Airline launches P1 air fare for ‘slow’ season
THE country’s second flag carrier is encouraging the traveling market, especially those who plan to travel in June, to book with the airline as early as now to avail themselves of the P1 one-way airfare.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific (CEB) vice president for marketing and product, said in a statement that CEB has allocated more than 50,000 seats for the P1 seat sale for all its domestic routes.
She also said that CEB will start flying to Taipei from Cebu, beginning June 13, increasing its regional flights to eight.
Promo period
The P1 one-way fare, which will be offered until April 22 or until all seats are sold out, is exclusive of applicable taxes and surcharges.
It is also good for travel from June 16 to Dec. 15.
“With the overwhelming response wereceived from our recent P1 seat sale, we are bringing back the domestic seat sale, to give those who were unable to avail of this earlier, another chance toget their seats. We hope that the public will take advantage of this seat sale to explore what our wonderful country has to offer,” Iyog said.
She said CEB hopes with this promotion to help boost domestic travel during the traditionally slow travel season.
Afford
“With this offering, many people will be able to afford air travel as they visit relatives, friends and go around the different destinations in our country. CEB remains steadfast to its commitment to bringing air travel closer to more Filipinos. The best way to grab P1 seats is via CEB’s website. Getting the best deals is much more convenient online as passengers can view the travel dates, flight schedules, and fare options available on each flight,” Iyog said.
Now in its 12thyear, CEB has the youngest fleet in the country.
It operates 14 brand new Airbus aircraftto its 20 domestic and regional destinations. (JBN)
