BDO claims bankers title

BANCO de Oro/Equitable PCI 1 (BDO/EPCI) defended its crown in the Cebu Bankers Club President Cup Bowling Tournament, defeating Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) weekend at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.

BDO/PCI, composed of Analily Lao, Arthur Tapaya, Melinda, Melida Ponce, Harry Yap, Noel Tanyu and Joseph Ong, pulled off an emphatic win toppling a total of 883 pinfalls compared to BPI’s 663 production.

Taking third place is Land Bank of the Philippines, while BDO/EPCI 2 finished in fourth over-all.

The tournament had started last month with each team composing three men, two women members.

Meanwhile, in the monthly open of the Prima Cebu Tenpin Bowling, Elaine Uy outclassed her opponents to claim the monthly title.

Uy registered a total of 1,762 pinfalls in eight games to take the top plum. Clarence Tiu and Kim Lao took the next two places respectively.

Uy joins Alexis Sy, Jericho Jumapao and Lao, who are the other monthly winners. (MCB)
