BOPK, GO bets carry mixed tickets in sample ballots
DESPITE earlier pronouncements to junk allies and not to endorse relatives, both the Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) and the Tribu Guardo/Genuine Opposition (GO) carried an assortment of administration and opposition senatorial candidates in each of their sample ballots.
As expected, Team Unity-allied BO-PK had GO Senate bets in its line-up, which Cebu City Mayor Tomas “Tommy” Osmeña said they would do.

What came as a surprise is the inclusion of John Henry “Sonny” Osmeña, whose estranged cousin Tommy is the party’s figurehead.
Tommy had said he is not voting for his cousin, and it was expected that BO-PK would tow the line.
Sonny, too, was included in the local GO’s sample ballots even after congressional aspirant Jonathan Guardo, Cebu City GO chairman, said they were junking their national bets for failing to support them. (RHM)
