Motorcycle driver Marcelo Carzano of B. Aranas St., Cebu City died on the spot.

His passenger, 37-year-old Jessie Noel Abarquez of Kimba, Cansojong, Talisay City, was seriously injured and rushed to the South General Hospital in Barangay Tuyan, Naga.

Pick-up driver Junypher Dionaldo, 27, surrendered to the town police.

He told investigators that he “miscalculated” in overtaking the truck along the Barangay Poblacion highway.

In San Roque, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City, a still unidentified vehicle bumped and killed a pedestrian Friday dawn.

Bystanders rushed Alquilos Benjamin Abasolo, 47, to the Cebu City Medical Center but he died before reaching the hospital.
