Aside from winning three championships, the Green Team also plucked the titles in the cheering and biggest delegation contests.

The Green Team won the championship in the mixed volley and the men’s and women’s double badminton events.

The Green volleyball squad easily routed Blue 2-0 sets in the elimination round before getting tough time against the Red team 2-1 in the finals. The Reds booted out Orange team in the other elimination game.

The tandem of Greg Fernandez and Rommel Manlosa also conquered Erwin Lirazan and Allan Defensor in the Men’s badminton doubles 2-0 in the championship round while the pair of Maya Sarroza and Cheramie Lavarez survived the tough game of managing editor Isolde Amante and assistant news editor Rhianne Tecson for a 2-1 win in the women’s double championship.

Four events are yet to be played and the Green squad will have its hand full in keeping its lead afloat in the Men’s and Women’s Table Tennis Doubles, Darts, Chess and Bowling. (RCM)
