PMA sets exam

THE Philippine Military Academy (PMA) will be holding an entrance examination on Aug. 26.

The examinations in the Visayas will be held at the Southwestern University (Cebu City), Silliman University (Dumaguete City), Holy Name University (Tagbilaran City), West Negros College (Bacolod City), Central Philippines University (Iloilo City) and Leyte National High School (Tacloban City).

Qualifications

Applicants must be a natural born Filipino, single and never been married, 5’4” for male applicants, 5’2” for female applicants, 17 to 22 years old but not a day older than 22 years on April 1 of the year following the date of examination taken, at least a high school graduate with a general of 85 percent or higher, physically fit and of good moral character.

A cadet enjoys free college education for four years, pay and allowances while studying, sure employment and commission as regular officer in the Army, Navy or Air Force.

PMA aims to provide complete and quality training to deserving young individuals who will lead the regular officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Productive

This prepares the cadet not only to become a solder but also as a productive citizen.

Application forms are now available at the Public Information Office, Central Command, Camp Lapulapu, Apas, Cebu City.

Application forms should reach the Office of the Cadet Admission, PMA, Fort del Pilar, Baguio City not later than Aug. 10.
