SOME P1.9 million worth of properties went up in smoke in a fire that hit Sitio Little Dalaguete, Barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City yesterday afternoon.
An unruly crowd, the lack of water and a strong wind made it hard for firefighters to control the flames.
At least 16 structures were razed, including the home of a fireman.
The Cebu City Fire Station received the alarm at 5:19 p.m., but it took an hour and 35 minutes for firemen to place the blaze under control.
