CICC receives event bookings
SINCE it opened its doors to companies and groups shortly after the 2007 Asean Summit, the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) has received bookings for corporate events and activities or guided tours in its premises and interiors.

Now placed under the Philippine Exhibitors and Traders Corp. (Petco) for marketing and promotions, the edifice has since hosted, among others, the national convention of the Philippine Councilors’ League, Central Bank’s e-Rediscounting, Tourism Jobs Fair of the Department. of Tourism, United Harbor Pilot Association of the Phils. Confederation’s induction of officers, Coca-Cola Phils. Visayas Area convention, World Food Expo 2007, Lungs Specialists Convention-Fellowship, Ouano Clan reunion, Cebu CFI Cooperative general assembly, Mandaue Vendors’ Cooperative general assembly, a four-day open house for Mandaue City residents and guests in time with the local government’s annual fiesta last May, the Ms. Mandaue City 2007 beauty pageant, Go Negosyo Cebu launch, Astra Zeneca luncheon symposium, IT Educational Summit by Ng Khai, and Wyp Out launch.

Confirmed bookings for this month and for the coming months include the Cebu Asean Tourism Forum, 33rd Capping, Badging Investiture and Candle Lighting of the University of the Visayas’ nursing students, Cebu ICT International Conference, Grand Chamber Awards, Cebu Dental Society’s induction of officers, 3A Media 4th Anniversary celebration, Philippine Travel Exchange, Philippine Food Cuisine Congress, Philippine Cuisine Expo, Service Awards of the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 8th Motorshow International Cebu 2007 Exhibit and Competition, Grand Christmas Fair sa Cebu, Philippine INO Christmas Party and Ng Khai Christmas party, among others.
Bookings waiting for confirmation, to date, run until April of next year.
Hiroko Sato, a Cebu-based Japanese tourist who edits a tourism magazine, Cebu Pot, which is circulated and distributed in hotels, airlines and other establishments catering to tourists, expressed enthusiasm in promoting the CICC in her country.
