Allanic gets Czar’s spot in July 7 card

WITH CZAR Amonsot taken out of the card, ALA Boy Robert Allanic is now tapped as possible replacement of his Boholano stablemate on the July 7 card to be held at the Cebu City Waterfront Hotel.

Allanic will put his WBO Asia Pacific interim bantamweight title against a yet to be named opponent in the card promoted by BP Entertainments of Korea in cooperation with the SGG Sports Promotions and ALA Gym.

Amonsot, who was supposed to defend his WBO Asia Pacific lightweight title against Indonesian Hero Katili, was pulled out of the card after getting an offer to fight for the world title.

The fight, which will be aired live in South Korea through KBS, will become a grander stage for Allanic who will take over as the main event fight of the card.

Except for the Amonsot-Katili fight, the other pairings are untouched.

Defense

The card will feature Korea’s WBO Asia Pacific junior welterweight champion, Young Sung Kim, who will defend his belt against Darsim of Indonesia and WBO Asia-Pacific minimum weight champion Donnie Nietes defending his title for the second time against Saenpetch Sor Sakulphan of Thailand.

The much-awaited meeting between the former amateur standouts Rocky Fuentes of ALA Stable and Benedict Suico of the RWS Stable for the vacant RP flyweight title is also expected to draw interest from Cebuano boxing fans.

Cebu will also witness a women professional boxing bout for the first time with the fight between Korea’s Kim Bo Young against Cebuana Judith Subig-Subing for four rounds. (RCM)
