OFWs get computer business packages from Smart, Owwa

FIVE beneficiaries of the Groceria Project of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) receive a computer station package and one-year free connectivity via Smart BRO, the wireless broadband service of Smart Communications, Inc.

OWWA Groceria, beneficiaries are given an interest-free loan package of up to P50,000 in the form of merchandise goods to help them start a grocery.

An agreement between Owwa and Smart also provides selected Owwa Groceria beneficiaries a chance to own a computer station business powered by Smart BRO.

The beneficiaries are Rene Tato, Ma. Teresa Obo, Pepito Quijano, Corazon Diaz and Peter Esrael. (PR)
