Firm eyes Cebu growth

DESPITE competition, a Filipino fashion company considers Cebu as a growing market for its products.

Bobson chief executive officer Victor Tan said the fashion market in Cebu is “getting better.”

“We’re optimistic that for the next two years, we’ll have a good market,” he said, adding that there is a growing demand for fashion apparel in the entire country in general.

He said this growth reflects improvements in the country’s economy and the increase of the peso’s buying power.

Tan said Bobson is not greatly affected by competition posed by imported brands as its market is the “young, hip and very stylish.”

Tan also revealed that Bobson is planning to penetrate the international market. (TEP)
