BDO-EPCI signs cooperation agreement with Bank of China

BANCO de Oro-Equitable PCI Inc. (BDO-EPCI) and Bank of China Ltd. (BOC) recently forged a business cooperation agreement in promotion and support of Chinese-related business in the country.

A simple signing ceremony was undertaken last June 18 at BDO-EPCI’s head office in Makati City and was attended by key officers of Bank of China in Beijing, delegates from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and top management of Banco de Oro-EPCI Inc.

Both parties agreed to promote the exchange of information relative to the propagation of business by BOC in the Philippines and BDO-EPCI in China and other areas in the Asian region where BOC has a presence.

“The agreement makes it possible for both banks to mutually collaborate on financial transactions and provide other forms of assistance and services to clients of both BOC and BDO-EPCI,” said Bank of China Manila branch general manager Sun Bao Xiang.

BDO-EPCI president Nestor V. Tan expressed great enthusiasm on the partnership as BOC engaged to refer to BDO-EPCI its Chinese and other regional clients wishing to conduct transactions with local Philippine banks.

“BDO-EPCI will make every effort to meet the needs of BOC customers in the best quality of service that our bank provides,” he said. (PR)
