Located along Osmeña Boulevard, Diddi’s is a 30-seater deli and bistro that serves local and international cuisine and specializes on European dishes like pizzas, pasta, cold cuts and hams, sausages, imported cheeses, sauces, chips and imported wines among others.
“There’s not much delis around here so I decided to open one,” said Etherington.
Chef Jerry Marinduque shared some items on the wide array of food choices in the menu. One of which is the oso buko, a European dish with lengua, simmered in red wine and paprika powder.
Another treat is the seafood tortilla with shrimps, fish and scallops with white wine sauce, and the baclaba cooked together with pistachio nuts with honey and cinnamon.
Choices of hams include Salami Milano, beef salami, Jamon Serrano, Coppa ham and beef pastrami; for sausages they have the Italian garlic sausage, cheese krainer, frankfurter and cervelat; for cheeses, choices includes mozzarella, appenzeller, Australian gouda and Switzerland’s Emmenthal cheese.
Most of Diddi’s ingredients are sourced from Australia, Germany, Chile and Italy. Prices of food items competitively ranges from P100 to over P200. (JSC)
