CCSC to resume weekly meeting

THE Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) is only waiting for the arrival of its chairperson before it could go back to its regular routine.

Projects, plans, requests have piled up as the CCSC is yet to get back on its feet after it ceased operations before the elections.

The sessions were aborted as Councilor Jack Jakosalem was still waiting for word on whether he gets to keep his post as head of the council’s committee on sports and professional gaming—the umbrella organization of CCSC.

Jakosalem stays with the CCSC and even while on hiatus, Jakosalem was able to accomplish one thing— the appointment of sportsman John Pages into the commission.

Just last week, Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña signed Pages’ appointment, formally placing him in the CCSC as replacement for Michael Aldeguer, who begged off from continuing his post because of his busy schedule.

Session

The CCSC, however, is set to get back on its weekly session Thursday next week when chairperson Michel Lhuillier gets back from his trip to Europe this Monday. Weekly meetings are set every Thursdays.

Pages will already be joining the meeting next week to start his duties as commissioner. Pages said he is still waiting for official word from CCSC about the meeting. (MCB)
