Friday, July 13, 2007 Orcullo, Kiamco move to round of 32
FILIPINO cue masters Dennis Orcollo and Warren Kiamco lived up to expectations as they advanced to the top 32 after topping their respective groups in the Predator World 14.1 Straight Pool Championship in in New Jersey.Orcollo topped Group 2 with a 6-1 win-loss standing, while Kiamco topped Group 5 with 5-2 record.
Other masters who advanced to the money matches were Thorsten Hohmann of Germany, Tony Robles and Bobby Hunter of the US and Miko Balasz of Hungary.
Orcollo was joined by Nick Van Den Berg of the Netherlands, Dennis Hatch of the US and Craig Riley of England.
Victories
Kiamco, on the other hand, is joined by Radoslaw Babica of Poland, Mico Otterman of Germany and Max Eberle of USA. The threer all finished with a 5-2 mark.
Orcollo scored his wins against Jerry Tarantola of the USA (100-37), Van den Berg (100-1), Craig Riley of England, (100-26), Tony Rodriguez of the US (100-21), Stuart Mattana of the USA (100-2) and Peter Burrows (100-17). He suffered his lone defeat against Dennis Hatch (5-100).
Kiamco, on the other hand, defeated Max Eberle (100-70,) Ottermann (100-96), Mike Davis (100-52), Danny Keydendall (100-0), Ed Deska, (100-63) and Joey Kong (100-50). He lost to Babica (55-100). (RCM)
