WE appreciate Mr. Arnold Batoil’s concerns on the airport runway, which was the subject of a letter that saw print in your paper last Saturday, July 14, 2007.

However, we wish to inform everyone that we have not yet decided on which asphalt overlay technology to use in rehabilitating the taxiway.

Currently, we are still evaluating which method will work best under the prevailing conditions.

While looking for better ways to improve our facilities using new technology, we shall carefully consider the experiences of other airports.

Even as we are expediting the repair of the airport’s deteriorating taxiway, we will not compromise high standards of quality and durability.

Finally, we want to assure the public that we are pursuing the project with utmost transparency.
