The San Roque Football festival, which is on its third year, is two days of football action that will take center stage on Aug. 18 at the football field behind the San Roque church.

Toledo said that they will not be setting a maximum number of teams and they will accept all registration until this Saturday.

“We did not invite out-of-town teams but we are anticipating a bigger number of participants this year,” Toledo added. Last year, the tournament attracted 170 teams.

There will be 13 divisions to be contested—the Players 6, Players 8, Players 10, Boys and Girls 12 Under, Boys 14, Boys and Girls 19, Men’s Open, Women’s Open and the 36 years old and above.

The tournament will be adopting the 5-a side format for the for the Players 6-10 divisions and 7-a side for the rest of the categories.

The tournament is also held in celebration of the fiesta of San Roque Parish. (MCB)
