Orillosa rules Perfect Body

THIRTY six-year-old John Orillosa displayed that his physique is a cut above the rest.

His well-cultured muscles and defined cuts earned the 5-foot-10 Orillosa the Mr. Perfect Body 2007 title, beating 19 other musclemen at the Gaisano Main Food Court last Saturday.

Orillosa was the early favorite in the presentation of the contestants and drew the loudest applause when they had their individual flexes.

However, the title of the best poser went to the diminutive Gil Mapalo of Active Fitness Center, who wowed the crowd with his gut and antics while doing their routines.

Drawing closer to Orillosa was 5-foot-8 LJ Mendez of Fitness First who won the first runnerup title.

Roy Zafra of Perfect Body Club won third place, while those who made it to the final six were the 26-year-old John Aguillon of the Perfect Body Club (fourth), 37-year-old Fraley Letigio of the Cebu Holiday Gym and Spa (fifth) and the promising 22-year-old Mario Tan Jr. of the Perfect Body Club.

On the other hand, Edgar Angcon of Seaside Gym, Edwin Orjalisa of Shoe Shocker Gym, Jimmy Duran of Jonas Gym and Aurelio Ardenia of Jonas Gym made it to the top 10.

Orillosa received the P3,000 cash prize, Mendez went home with P2,000 and Zafra got P1,000. All three also got trophies and gift packs.

The Mr. Perfect Body 2007 was supported by Gaisano Main, Gaisano Country Mall, YKG Industrial Sales Corporation, Jomalee Printers, Lipovitan Amino Sports, Dr. Vicente de la Peña and Agua Air. (RCM)
