Friday, August 10, 2007 Gould to hold clinic in CIS on Aug. 13
FOLLOWING the success of his football clinic in Boljoon, Filipino-British football player Chad Gould’s services are again requested for the young players, this time in the city.
Cebu Football Association (CebuFA) board member Jackie Lotzoff invited Gould over to have a talk with the kids for one session at the Cebu International School.
The talk will be held this Monday and all kids who are into football are encouraged to join.
“I want him to give a message to the children to encourage them to do good in their academics as well as in sports,” Lotzoff told Chad’s representative, Iste Sesante-Leopoldo.
Lotzoff came just in time to save the CebuFA. Leopoldo had an earlier agreement with CebuFA president Jonathan Maximo to hold another clinic in Cebu. The clinic was set to be cancelled after their communication with Maximo was cut.
Inspiration
Leopoldo also said that Lotzoff wants Gould to become an inspiration that to the kids since he, a Cebuano, has become a huge success in the United Kingdom.
Gould played for the RP national football team, but had taken a leave as he has been preparing to launch an album set for release in the UK next month.
Gould conducted a day-long clinic in Boljoon two weeks ago for almost 100 kids, who came from far off mountain barangays of the town. He did it with another Filipino-foreigner Michael Sharpe. Sharpe played for the national youth team and is a student at the CIS. (MCB)
